Bonathane’s polyurethane, PU, properties of high wear and load carrying is the ideal material for making scrapers. Bonathane polyurethane has excellent resistance to oils, fuels and many other chemicals. Excellent tensile strength makes Bonathane polyurethane more resistant to tears and cuts than rubber and silicone. Bonathane polyurethane has great versatility at low temperatures with typical service temperatures ranging from –40ºC to +80ºC.

Bonaprene’s manufacturing process allows scrapers to be made with holes, slots, chamfers and cutouts.

Bonaprene’s comprehensive shot blasting and bonding facility allows the incorporation of steel fixing plates and tungsten wear blades into the polyurethane, PU, scraper.

Bonaprene also offer the customer the ability to incorporate part numbers and logos into the polyurethane scraper product. This can be helpful when the scraper is fitted onto OEM machinery for future after market sales and the marketing of genuine OEM spares.

Bonaprene offer a very wide range of colours of polyurethane. Standard colours are black, white, red, blue, orange green and yellow. At extra cost specials can be made in virtually any colour imaginable.

Bonaprene offer standard polyurethane hardness from 35 Shore A to 95 Shore A as well as specials in the higher D range of 60 Shore D and 80 Shore D.

Bonaprene's Bonathane polyurethane, PU, is used extensively on quarrying machinery such as the equipment below. The belting in these machines quickly becomes clogged up with debris causing a rapid drop of in efficiency. The fitting of Bonathane polyurethane, PU, scrapers removes the debris. Bonathane's  polyurethane properties of wear resistance and resistance to compression set means the Bonaprene PU scrapers keeps working longer than other products available to the operator.

As well as a vast range of flat polyurethane, PU, scraper types Bonaprene also offer formed polyurethane scrapers. Bonaprene use their advanced design programmes and extensive knowledge of the industry to combine with the Bonaprene in-house tool making shop to produce the necessary patterns, moulds and tools.

Bonaprene can offer fire retardant and anti static polyurethane scraper grades. Bonaprene manufacture scrapers for the mining industry where the polyurethanes made have been tested to the standards set out in the former British Coal Memorandum RD/NMMB (84) 1 method 2 and the former British Coal Specification 158/1989 by the Cerberus Mining Acceptance Service. The polyurethane product is used extensively in the manufacture of plough blades, scraper blades, skirts and impact bars for use within the U.K. mining industry

The largest part of Bonaprene’s out put of polyurethane scraper blades goes into the quarrying industry of the major original equipment manufacturers, the key distributors and the quarries. The types of applications are backing plates for shedder plates; scraper blades for dirt conveyors; hopper scraper blades; feeder scrapers; collection conveyor belt scrapers and apron scrapers

Bonaprene manufacture moulded and cut to size polyurethane scapers for floor cleaning machines. The Bonaprene Bonathane polyurethane has been extensively trialed in this application by one of Europe's leading manufacturers of floor cleaning machinery. In a wet, high abrasion test Bonaprene's Bonathane polyurethane performed excellently and was adopted as original equipment.
